About the Community
Shantiniketan 3 (SN3) was developed by Shantiniketan-FL LLC in 2017, following the completion of Shantiniketan 1 and Shantiniketan 2. It is located at 2000 Shantiniketan Blvd, Tavares, Florida, about an hour northwest of Orlando.
SN3 offers a quiet and welcoming place to enjoy retirement in Florida’s warm, year-round climate. Ours is a self-run community supported by dedicated volunteers who help provide facilities and services that contribute to a comfortable lifestyle for residents.
Community Amenities
- Gated Community: The property is fully fenced and gated, with access limited to residents and their guests.
- Clubhouse: The clubhouse is the heart of the community. It includes a game and gym room, a large central hall that serves as a dining area for daily lunch and dinner, and a stage for karaoke, cultural programs, and other resident-led events. A projector is available for talks, presentations, and movie screenings, and professional or semi-professional performers occasionally visit.
- Common Kitchen: A commercial kitchen prepares vegetarian meals for members of the Food Club. Participation in the community meal plan is optional, and each residential unit also has its own kitchen for those who prefer to cook independently.
- Prayer Room: The clubhouse includes a prayer room where residents gather for daily bhajan and arthi.
- Book Club: SN3 has a self-managed book club with a small collection of books available for residents to borrow.
- Gym: The clubhouse also features exercise equipment donated by residents for community use.
